How to make money by answering questions

I have tried blogging. I have tried answering surveys. I have tried Paid To Click sites. All I can tell you from my experience is all those work, kind of.

Blogging requires hard dedication and learning a lot of Search Engine Optimization, back-linking and internet marketing promotion. In the end, you will find yourself spending more time on all that than on writing articles.

Paid surveys are rare and tedious. In addition, most of them require too many of your personal information. Maybe you can earn some money this way, but there are too many scams that in the end, it’s just not worth your time.

Until WebAnswers appeared on this making money online scene, there just was no easy way of making money on the internet.

WebAnswers use special approach called AdSense revenue sharing. This means that you need to have Google AdSense account before you can earn any money there. The principle is quite simple:
  • You answer questions.
  • If your answer is selected as the best one, you earn 60% on all AdSense advertisements views and clicks on that “awarded answer”.
  • If you ask questions, you get into rotation with all the people who answer your question. For example, if you post question and 3 people answer it, you will get 60% of income from every fourth page view.

The WebAnswers allow you to earn money by both asking and answering questions. For every opinionated, loudmouthed, headstrong person, such as myself, this is incredible opportunity to do what you do best and make some money at the same time.

You only need to answer 10 questions [EDIT: Now WebAnswers require you to have 50 awarded  answers] before you can associate your AdSense account with WebAnswers and start making money. In less than three hours, I have answered those 10 required questions, associated my AdSense account and made $0.12.

You can check out my Top 7 tips for posting quality answers and Best tactics on making money online with WebAnswers for more information on how I earned $100 required for AdSense payout in almost no time at all.

Happy answering!

  1. I never thought about that. Will have to check it out sometime.

  2. Hey DrDarko, I'm also a complete supporter and member of Web-answers, i also urge those to use the site if they want to do some freelance writing as its a great way to get your knowledge and expertise out there and get paid for it at the same time. It is the easiest, and best alternative to get started making some coin online. Think of the site as more of a community if more people joint he community grows and as such, so does the traffic, and your questions indirectly will gain more traffic, so everyone has the opportunity to help everyone make money.

  3. I'm confused about one aspect of asking questions.

    When the asker selects a best answer, does he/she lose all earning potential at that point?

  4. Well, this is the one thing I am not sure about. There are two administrators on WebAnswers and they gave different answers to this question.

    One said that once you award the question, you and the person whose answer was awarded share in the revenue.

    The other said that you share the revenue with everybody who answered the question until you award it.

    I prefer to think that the first option is the correct one since it makes much more sense. Anyway, if people see that you never award answers, they might start avoiding awarding your answers on the questions they ask.

    In the end, I think that sticking to the rules is the best option. Answer questions, ask questions and award them after some time. This way you will be doing everything right and enjoying the process.

    Best of luck...

  5. Hey Doc--Found your site on linkreferral, and I'm glad I did. I know about question and answer sites, but had not heard of webanswers, and I think it's worth checking out and reviewing for my readers as well...

  6. Hi Denise,

    Thank you very much for visiting my blog. I have checked out your work and I am sure that your readers will find WebAnswers nice way to increase their revenue.

    If there is anything I can do to help and/or clarify, feel free to contact me.

    Best of luck.

  7. DrDarko,

    I can personally vouch that WebAnswers is a good opportunity to earn some money. I have not been as successful as you, but I only answer 3 questions per day. Already I am seeing clicks nearly every day. I look forward to following your blog.

  8. Jason, thank you very much for your comment. Yes, WebAnswers site is great money making opportunity and great fun!

  9. With everything I do, WebAnswers remains one of the top earners for me. I also find it takes less effort to answer questions than it does to write an article. I can sit and watch TV and answer questions at the same time, for instance.

  10. Still love Webanswers - even though I'm not as active as I would like - trying to recover from the Google Pandemic on my articles! Wondering if you want to share links - I'll add you to my blog anyways!

  11. Yes, Panda hit all the revenue sharing sites. Hopefully, they will recover soon. I already see some improvement on Web Answers.

    I loved your blog and a link to it is now on my sidebar! Thanks...

  12. This whole concept is really intriguing to me. I can't believe I've never come across it before. I like to make posts on blogs and forums to help build my backlinks and also simply just to learn more about making money on the internet! But this is pure genius! Can't wait to explore it more. Thank you Linkreferral for putting this website out there for me to check out!

    For those of you who are posting 3-4 answers/day, what kind of money are you actually making? I'm not expecting some outrageous number. Just very curious. I can't wait to refer this website to my sister who is unemployed right now. She is extremely bright and a great writer, so this might be a nice income stream for her!

  13. Chris, 3-4 answers a day will bring you some money but there is a direct correlation between your activity and your earnings on WebAnswers. More active you are, more money you make.

    The greatest thing about WebAnswers is that the writer's block can never hit you there due to the Q&A nature of the site. You will always be able to find some interesting questions to answer...

  14. I love WebAnswers. I am doing it right now. Its mentally and financially stimulating.

  15. Hey Drdarko its kmancloquet. I don't know if you remember me from webanswers but I am an active user on the site. I had no idea you had a blog. I plan on reading all of your posts.

  16. Hey I am from Pakistan and I am unable to get my webanswers account approved. Why?

  17. You are right Smotherer. Unfortunately, WebAnswers recently established a new rule that forbids people from "risky" countries to register.

    I do not know if this was due to Google's policies or there really was too much fraudulent activities coming from those countries. However, I think that it is rather unfortunate decision by the owners and I hope that in the future, this will change.

    Currently prohibited countries are:
    * Algeria
    * Bahrain
    * Bangladesh
    * China
    * Egypt
    * Ghana
    * Hong Kong
    * Iceland
    * India
    * Indonesia
    * Jordan
    * Kenya
    * Kuwait
    * Lithuania
    * Malaysia
    * Morocco
    * Nepal
    * Netherlands
    * Nigeria
    * North Korea
    * Pakistan
    * Palestinian Territory
    * Philippines
    * Poland
    * Romania
    * Russian Federation
    * Saudi Arabia
    * Serbia
    * Singapore
    * South Korea
    * Sri Lanka
    * Taiwan
    * Thailand
    * Turkey
    * Ukraine
    * United Arab Emirates
    * Vietnam

  18. Webanswers sounds like a pretty neat idea. I had never heard of it before today. I am bookmarking the blog and will check into it a little more later...

    You're right I have spent a lot of time working on my seo optimization here lately than blogging. However I think it may be starting to pay off!

    Come on over and check out the Cash Team at and look it over and leave a comment with your link. Maybe I'll send some traffic your way!

  19. WebAnswers is a great site, the answers are a lot more professional that you get at YahooAnswers where I am convinced half the users are just trolls anyhow.
    There are a few other sites where people can Ask and Answer questions, although certainly most do not pay. One great new site is Knoji, it use to be called Factoidz.
    I enjoy answering questions, helping people with whatever it may be, pet emergencies, health concerns, or parenting issues. Question and Answer sites are very addictive, and super good ways to spend a rainy (or in my case) snowy day.
    Great blog, thanks for your info.
